Frequently Asked Questions and General Information
Can I bring my pet?
We're very dog friendly and welcome one well behaved dog in each cottage, subject to our doggy rules. See the Bringing Your Dog page for full information. Unfortunately we can't accommodate cat visitors.
If you have more than one four legged member of the family please get in touch as we're quite often available to accommodate more than one dog per cottage.
What linen do you provide?
We provide towels, tea towels and all bed linen. Doggy towels are also included for guests bringing a four legged friend if specified at the time of booking.
What kitchen and cooking equipment is supplied?
Both cottages have well equipped kitchens with all the equipment you should need to self cater. We also provide a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and condiments to get you started. And we're always happy to lend something of ours if there's something you need that isn't in the cottage!
Can we bring more than one car?
In most cases, yes but please do let us know at the time of booking if you do want to bring more than one vehicle.
Can you provide a highchair, cot or stairgate?
We can provide stairgates, but not cots or highchairs.
Is heating and electricity included in the price?
Yes, we don't charge extra for heating and electricity. Both cottages are heated by underfloor heating with supplementary electric fires in the lounge areas.
What facilities are nearby?
Llangollen Barns cottages are in an elevated rural location, one mile from the nearest supermarket, shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions in Llangollen.
Are the cottages suitable for disabled visitors?
Please contact us with any special requirements and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
The cottages are in an elevated sloping location 300m above Llangollen and may not be suited to all. A car is strongly recommended. Bedrooms and toilets are located upstairs in both cottages which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Is there anything else we need to know?
Due to the rural location of the cottages our water supply comes from a filtered local supply rather than the mains. Please bear in mind that our water pressure is lower than you would experience from the mains and can decrease in periods of hot weather.
