About Us & Our Cottages

​Hello! We're Martin & Alison and we created our beautiful holiday cottages seven years ago, converting our 19th century barn on our non-working farm. The farm and barn were originally built in 1888 to form part of the Vivod country estate on which the farm is still situated.  We live in the farmhouse adjoining the barn with Spencer, our friendly Cocker Spaniel and are on hand to offer a warm Welsh welcome and any assistance you might need. We love meeting our guests and have been lucky to meet people from all over the world who come to explore this stunning corner of North Wales. 



Both Owl and Woodpecker cottages retain many original features of the barn, but also incorporate modern conveniences to make your holiday as stress free and comfortable as possible. Both cottages are equipped with Smart TV's, free Wifi, washing machines, dishwashers and underfloor heating.

We believe that self catering holidays should be hassle free and we don't charge for extras. We have been on many self catering holidays ourselves where our car has been so full of bed linen, towels, food and doggy equipment that there was little room left for ourselves! Your holiday at Llangollen Barns includes all bed linen, towels, locally sourced welcome packs with all your essentials (and a few luxuries too), and doggy bowls and towels if you require them. 

We're flexible regarding arrival and departure days and will always accommodate short breaks where possible. We know not everyone can book a one or two week holiday starting on a Saturday, so just contact us with any requests that you have and we'll try our best to fit you in. We just ask that all stays are for a minimum of two nights (3 nights at Christmas/New Year).
